How do you get Zorua to show matching IVs?

Short Answer: Arrive at the Zorua spawn, walk out of range, swap your buddy out and back in, then walk back — Zorua will now appear with its true stats.

Zorua disguises itself as your buddy Pokemon. When spoofing, the IVs shown in scanners may not match what you see in-game until you perform the buddy swap trick.

Steps to get Zorua with matching IVs:

  1. Arrive at the Zorua spawn location — it will appear disguised as your current buddy
  2. Walk out of range of the spawn (teleport away or move far enough that it’s out of range)
  3. Swap your buddy out to a different Pokemon, then swap back in the same buddy that Zorua was disguised as
  4. Walk back into range of the spawn
  5. Zorua should now appear in-game as Zorua with stats matching what was reported

Important: Make sure you swap back in the exact same buddy that Zorua was disguised as — not a different Pokemon.

Tip: The scanner reports Zorua’s true IVs, but in-game it shows the buddy’s appearance until you do the swap. This trick forces the game to reveal Zorua’s real form and stats.
